Like other games by Patrick Todoroff nigthwatch is a wonderful sandbox for players who no longer have the time to devote themselves to longer games, or like me have no regular opponent.
The rules are simple and you quickly immerse in the history of your miniatures.
I like the freedom to be able to adapt the game to my collection.
My advice if you don't like a rule, change it.
Your adventure, your rules.
Great supplement, new rules looks solid and add a lot to the core rulebook. If you like Clash of Spears, Fields of Blood is must purchase. Fortifications and assaults add new dimesion to the game, can't wait to check them on the table.
A truly beautiful set of counters appropriate for the vast majority of ancient miniature rules. While not nearly
as ubiquitous as the publisher's previous counter set **Wargame Armies : Ancient and Medieval**, this version provides great period flavor for the combatants in the Greco-Persian Wars of the Fifth Century BC as described by Herodotus and even in the tragic events of the Pelopponesian Wars analyzed by Thucydides. The number of figures on any given base corresponds to the requirements of **DBA**. For example, you get three different 'flavors' of Greek Spear Infantry identified as Hoplites: Spartan, Theban and generic Greek, and each unit has four figures. By contrast, Peltasts only have three figures for quick **DBA**identification purposes, and the Persian figures on this unit look different from those on the Greek version. I just employed this product to construct units for use with both **Kings of War Historical** and **Men of Bronze** authored by Eric ...
If you are looking for a game with well written rules and one that is engaging, then this is the book/game to get! This Is the perfect game to lose yourself in for an hour or so. You won’t be disappointed!
I have a ton of dice just lying around so having something fun and lightweight to do with them is awesome! It reminds me of games i'd put together from toys as a kid so being able to make little spaceships out of my dice collection is a great idea!
I would highly recommend putting the little ships on a playing card of some sort.

Was very pleasantly surprised with this one. The fistful of lead rules (which have previously been used for ground skirmish combat) translate wonderfully in fast easy space skirmish rules. Those familiar with the system will feel right at home, with the main changes being to movement and having pilot/starship stats along with traits more suited to starships and pilots. This is done very well without adding unecessary complexity and the book is completely self contained so no other purchase is necessary to play. Highly recommended...

Fantastic set of rules for star wars or any other sci fi minis you may have. Well organized, clearly explained with plenty of examples. Gameplay is fast and exciting thanks to simple d10 combat resolution and card based initiative system. Included scenarios are very fun, full of theme and show the amazing things this system can do. Highly recommended.
A brief but effective guide to SCW wargaming. Lots of lists for the different factions in the war, sensible new rules, and some scenarios to get started. I would have liked a bibliogrophy or guide to books on the war, but it's hard to complain about a supplement this densly packed. Well worth it if you're interested in this period.

This is a delightful little reasonably priced mansion map, suitable to multiple purposes. I especially appreciate the multiple versions of the map (with different kinds of hex-/grid-lines AND without gridlines at all), as I can show my players the unmarked VTT version while using the gridded version to count ranges if someone gets into an indoor fight with the monsters.
I also appreciate the included recommendations to other DramaScape maps -- several of which are offered for free! -- that can fill in as floors above and below the purchased map. I definitely came back to buy more DramaScape products for future adventures because of the versatility with this map and the free options.
The included adventure -- which we won't be using, but we all exclaimed over with glee -- is system-agnostic and easy to adapt for a one-shot or convention game.
The included description often does not match the actual room it is describing. This stumped me a few times until I quit trying to hurry t...

This is a quick little dice game that leaves much to be desired. As it stands this is a no buy here is why:
* The included game book is missing key pieces of information - There is no pole score per person.
* There is no indication of what kind of dice you have to roll -- we can assume its 2d6 based on the table but it is not explicitly mentioned in the rules.
* Your pole position has absolutly no relevence on the game score and only used for longer term games.
* There is nothing here that gives you the feeling that you are racing cars against each other, you could just roll all 8 segments out for each car and then add up the scores. If I were not simulating the game there might be some kind of tension.
* A lot of things are simply unclear no matter how many times you read the rules.
* There is no flair or understanding of what the 1921 season was like, how many cars competed in each race? What were the historical outcomes? All you get is a half finished spreadsheet.
I played this...
Been following and using Harpoon since my days in the Blue Suit. The latest iteration is great, and I look forward to finding some players for play by e-mail.
One fairly serious quibble with the Jumpstart scenario.
I was EWO and Electrical officer on a Leahy with cross deck time on a Balknap. The Mk-42 mount 5"/54 had both Fire Director control, Aft Plot control, and local control. Even with CIC wrecked one of the alternate control methods should be available. References support on-mount local control......
